Routing logic: Athens and Thessaloniki are 5+ hours apart by road. This program flies into Athens and out of Thessaloniki, following Paul's actual route through Greece. Meteora and Berea are natural stops on the road north — not detours.

Reverse routing: This program enters at Thessaloniki and exits Athens — following Paul's geographic trajectory in reverse, which allows a natural southward flow ending with the Aegean cruise and Athens. The Vergina Royal Tombs (Day 5) are a UNESCO addition not available in the 8-day program.

Two parallel programs run simultaneously. Men enter Mount Athos with diamonitirion permits. Women participate in an equally rich program at the Ormylia Annunciation Monastery, Panagia Eikosifoinissa, and coastal excursions — reuniting with the men's group at Ouranoupoli on Day 8. Both groups depart together from Thessaloniki on Day 9.

Mount Athos permits: The diamonitirion is a special entry permit issued by the Holy Epistasia of Mount Athos. Only Orthodox Christian men may enter. Permits must be arranged in advance — we handle the application process for the group. Women's parallel program is equally deep and is not a consolation program — it was designed as a distinct pilgrimage.
